We performed a health check for a rapidly growing tour operator to understand what finance infrastructure they needed to support their growth plans. This covered analysing past performance , determining KPIs and building a 3 year financial plan. In addition our review highlighted gaps and issues in their finance processes and we made recommendations for improvements, developing a plan of action across platforms, people and processes along with optimising working capital and cashflow
We were also involved on a longer term set up which included building and documenting robust financial processes in addition to designing and implementing monthly management reporting, providing the necessary training and mentoring to staff. As part of this, we have worked with the external accountants to establish the most cost effective and efficient ways of working and recommended and implemented technology solutions for reporting and cashflow monitoring. We have also built a one year budget and introduced monthly governance board meetings

We conducted a health check with a coaching business that wanted to ensure they had robust financial plans to support their strategic growth plans. This covered a 3 year performance trends analysis with future projections and the feasibility of cash repayments to the exiting owner. We performed a review of profitability and their business model and made capital allocation recommendations

A charity that requested a review of their finance processes and departmental structure. We were able to support the client by the automation of monthly reporting and coached team members with limited financial experience. We also created a dashboard for trustees to view all key financial and fundraising information on one page and appraised the finance function, making recommendations for it to be more cost effective and efficient
Client 4
A software developer required a review of their accounting processes to ensure they were working efficiently and effectively. We were able to support the business by formalising their balance sheet reconciliations and review, introducing a month end close and management accounts process and establishing a VAT return review and sign off process. In addition, we helped the company by setting up a monthly payroll process, reviewing and making recommendations on their purchases & payables process and appraising and introducing an expenses software

A food manufacturer required support in setting up their monthly reporting. We were able to assist the client by introducing a month end close and balance sheet reconciliation process and establishing management accounts reporting, providing resource to assist in their preparation. We also helped the business by simplifying an overly complex budget and cashflow model and guided them through a change in accounting software

Our first opportunity to work together and the start of our journey to ‘Grow’. A 3 year Finance Director role where we were able to bring in a fractional Financial Controller to professionalise the finance function
This involved providing strategic board support and advice along with introducing a 5 year plan that included a robust budget and forecasting. By implementing automated reporting, we were able to reduce month end from 4 weeks to 10 days in addition to a complete overhaul in the financial processes, policies and compliance and streamlining the corporate structure through dormant company closures and VAT de-registrations. We also supported the business in an office move and fitout and were successful in securing debt and grant funding along with helping the client to optimise working capital and cashflow
